Louise Lemyre is an expert in psychological stress, subjective
appraisal and risk perception. Her interdisciplinary projects involve the major determinants of population health and their interaction, especially as they relate to Sense
of Mastery, Uncertainty and Threat. The psychosocial aspects of terrorism, emergency preparedness and psychosocial management of risks are at the core of her applied
research program.
Paul Boutette is an experienced management consultant, instructional designer and
training specialist. He has worked throughout North America and abroad. He has considerable expertise in managing large, complex projects where teams of researchers and
content specialists analyze the impacts of new business systems, processes and technology. Paul has worked for many Fortune 1000 clients in a variety of sectors, including
the Ministry of Health, Rogers AT&T, Imperial Oil and Manulife Financial.
Wayne Corneil is an occupational psychologist and epidemiologist with experience with
first responders, crisis management and PTSD and the Federal Public sector. His field experience includes work related to the Swiss Air flight crash, work with the National
Capital CBRN team and work related to the trauma and false alarms associated with the September 11th event.
Celine Pinsent is a senior researcher with extensive experience in the applied areas of evaluation, performance measurement, and community development. Her work has focused
primarily on understanding and measuring the relevance and effectiveness of health, social and economic interventions for various groups including vulnerable populations.
Her clients have included public sector organizations at the federal, provincial/territorial and municipal levels.
Angie is a Malaysian Ph.D. candidate in experimental psychology. She graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with a B.Sc. Honours in Psychology Research Specialist
(social psychology and cognitive neuroscience) and a minor in Biology. Angie is interested in research involving the psychosocial approach in risk perception and its relation to behaviour in higher-risk populations. Her current research focuses on the socio-cultural paradigm in risk perception, disaster preparedness and community engagement in immigrants of Canada. She is supported by the University of Ottawa International Excellence Scholarship and OGS program.
Alina is an international doctoral student in Population Health. She completed her bachelor's and master's degrees in
physics, at the Bucharest University, Romania. She worked at the Romanian National Institute of Public Health within the
department for Health and Ionizing Radiation. She was involved in different national, European and international projects
in radiation protection and preparedness in case of radiological/nuclear emergency. She is interested in research involving
ionizing radiation, risk perception and communication, especially in the case of radiological/nuclear emergency. She is
supported by the University of Ottawa and has been awarded with an Ontario Trillium Scholarship.
Nathalie Cadieux holds a Bachelor degree and a Master's in industrial relations from Laval University. Nathalie is
currently completing a PhD in industrial relations at University of Montreal under Dr. Alain Marchand's supervision. Her
thesis focuses on the mental health of professionals practicing regulated professions in Canada. Her research interests
include the best practices of human resource management within organisations, work ethics and high-level professionals'
work conditions likely to explain the prevalence of mental health issues in this pool of labour. Nathalie works with Dr.
Lemyre's team.
Myriam Gagnon is a PhD student in the Clinical Psychology program at the University of Ottawa, where she also did her undergraduate degree. She holds an Honours with specialization in psychology, minor in criminology degree (B.A.). She joined the Gap-Santé research team in June 2011. Myriam completed her undergraduate thesis on the theme of collaborative leadership under Dr. Lemyre's supervision. For her doctoral research, Myriam's research interests relate to volunteering, community engagement and the well-being of francophones.
Stacey Gibson’s background in psychology and criminology has helped shape her doctoral research on emergency preparedness and risk communication within vulnerable
communities. Her work has been funded by SSRHC and the University of Ottawa.
Marie-Pierre L. Markon completed her doctoral in experimental psychology. Her research entails the social psychology of uncertainty, risk perception, and the cognitive
appraisal of global latent threats. She investigates the conditions under which uncertainty can be associated to stress, personal deliberation, and mobilization towards
global issues. She received support by SSHRC, FQRSC and by the University of Ottawa. She is now an affiliated researcher with GAP-Santé.
Dr. Lalande-Markon's thesis is nominated for the Best Thesis Award.

Sandra, doctoral student in clinical psychology, is interested by health: mental, physical and organizational. As a practicum student, she has worked in a variety of
settings doing psychological evaluations, group, individual and family psychotherapy and program evaluations. Her research focuses on organizational stress and health of
the executives of the federal public service. In partnership with the Association of professional executive of the public service of Canada (APEX), this project is funded
by CRSH.
An engineer, Cecilia Lemus is a doctoral student in Population Health. Her research interest
is in developing phronetic strategies to built inter organizational
relationships that enhance population health under complex and uncertain
situations. Her role is to link engineering tools to understand cognitive
processes. This thesis project is supported by DRDC, NSERC, and the
Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnologia.
Stephanie Anna Blust is a master-doctoral combined student in experimental psychology. She is interested in research involving psychosocial risk; in particular her interests
lie in meta-organizational decision making, stress, and uncertainty in risk management. Stephanie began her studies in experimental psychology in fall of 2009, and has been
working with Dr. Lemyre and her team on the applied Defense Research Development Canada Technology Investment Fund (TIF) Project on meta-organizational collaboration and
decision making.
Leah is a master-doctoral combined student in the experimental psychology program. Graduating from Carleton University with a B.A Honours in Psychology and a minor in
French, Leah’s areas of interest in research involve stress, wellbeing and the work environment. Under the supervision of Dr. Lemyre, Leah continues to develop a thesis
contributing to a better understanding of the associations between the work environment and organizational wellbeing within the evolving landscape of public service organizations.
Leah is supported by the CIHR scholarship and University of Ottawa Excellence Scholarship.
